The CNC Machine Shop and Equipment at CED reside in a custom built facility designed specifically to support lean, high-precision custom manufacturing. Our 40,000 sq.ft. Manufacturing Plant is nestled in picturesque Oxford CT at the doorstep of Waterbury-Oxford Airport. We re strategically positioned between New York and Boston, making our location convenient toi access for clients across New England — and the entitre U.S.!
The heart of the CED Machine Shop is our always-evolving manufacturing floor, anchored by a fleet of advanced CNC systems by Mazak, HAAS, Cincinnati, Milltronics, Southwestern, and more. The impressive systems in our Equipment List deliver extremely precise results, setting benchmarks for the fastest, most efficient, and most consistent machining available.

While our Manufacturing floor is impressive, our CNC Machine Shop is really much more than just that. Our expansive facility is actually segmented into dedicated departments, each strategically positioned to provide “next-step” services with “lockstep” precision. When we designed our CNC Machine Shop, we did so to support the “value-add services ” we believe set us apart ” CED’s Design and Engineering Departments provide clients with a “new-part-head-start” by bringing real-world manufacturing experience and skills to the strategy table. This guidance helps to avoid costly mistakes in design, determine optimum material selection, the most efficient machining processes, and more.
Our Subassembly Department offers a clients a reliable solution for combining multiple parts that we machine with items from other sources. The CED Subassembly team have the training and experience needed to deliver fully assembled, tested, and packaged components used in medical applications, consumer goods, industrial machinery, and more.
CED has also earmarked a significant amount of storage and expansion space to support client growth. Having this space flexibility ensures that we can always meet our clients’ manufacturing and inventory needs.
